One of my absolutely favorite parts of November is the way that so many people are focusing on gratitude and giving thanks! I wish every month focused on acknowledging what we have been blessed with.

Gratitude Practices

Gratitude Journal

There are many ways to practice gratitude. One of my favorite gratitude practices is to keep a gratitude journal. In this journal I write about my blessings. It’s narrative in style and is my thoughts and feelings about the many ways I have been so richly blessed. This practice of counting blessings is an especially helpful when negative thinking is taking root.

1000 Gifts

If you have explored my website you may have discovered my 1000 gifts list. After reading Ann Voskamps book One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are

I felt compelled to begin my own list of 1000 gifts and update my list on this site. If you have not read this book, I really hope will and soon. It is a game changer.

This gratitude practice is a great one to do with your children. It’s fun and is a conversation starter for sure. Basically, beginning with the letter A, you make a list of things that you are grateful for, using each letter of the alphabet to start your statement.
