summer bucket list part 1

Our family is doing something a little different this year and I am really excited about it. We have wanted to do some traveling but that's a lot easier said then done when you have a lot of little kids. Since my "little" kids are not so little anymore, we feel like this is our summer to hit the road and go on an adventure. So we are heading north to Eastern Canada and northeastern United States. Here are some of the must see locations on our summers bucket list.

  1. Toronto

    1. Niagara Falls

    2. Hockey Hall of Fame

    3. National Shrine of North American Martyrs

  2. ontreal & Quebec City - visiting Quebec city has me all kinds of excited, I mean it's a city behind a wall! The Ramparts of Quebec City are the only remaining fortified city walls in North America north of Mexico. It is old and filled with history. The Jesuits had such a huge influence on the French Canadians so as a Catholic family visiting this area will be filled with rich church history!

    1. Ottawa, Vanier: Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto

    2. Quebec: Sanctuaire Notre-Dame-du-Cap (Our Lady of the Cape)

    3. North of Quebec Quebec City: Saint Anne de Beaupre

    4. Saint Anthony's Hermitage, Museum of the Ursulines, Notre Dame de Quebec

  3. Prince Edward Island - this has long been a dream of mine. I have always been a huge fan of Anne of Green Gables so being able to visit the enchanting island that inspired L.M. Montgomery thrills me. So you can bet we will be visiting Cavendish to visit the Green Gables Heritage Place.

When we finish up our time on PEI, we will begin to head back towards the U.S. My next bucket list post will detail some spots we plan to hit on our way home!
