Hi, my name is Amelia and I want to welcome you to this space.  Let me give you the quick dime store version of my bio: I am a wife, mom to six and Mimi to three.  That’s a lot of people and that’s just how I like my life, busy with a touch of chaos. You can read the full bio here.
As a mom I wear many hats of differing sizes. My biggest hats are homeschooling my youngest three children and running our household. I am also the Director of Religious Education (DRE) at our church and I teach adjunct in higher education.  Like every other mom, I also wear a lot of hats in the margins of my life.

I’ve always been encouraged to write by different people at different times in my life. Which is really kind of cool because I enjoy writing. I’ve kept a journal for as long as I can remember. Writing is really a win/win – it’s cheaper than therapy and it’s a way of documenting our lives, our stories. My writing tends to circle around predictable themes: family, raising children, homeschooling and our faith. I love books and have no fewer than 5 on my bedside table on any given day and have never met a craft I didn't want to try. I'm also a lover of stories, telling stories and hearing stories. This space is like a kitchen table, a place to gather and to share stories, words of encouragement or sometimes just my thoughts.

I’ve been toying with the idea of starting a podcast too, but I tell you that with a little apprehension mainly because I may never get around too it, but it would be kind of cool. I’d have to come up with some catchy name for my podcast and then figure out how to get it in iTunes etc.  not to mention the cover art….so yea, I may podcast one day when the kids are all grown, we’ll see. Meanwhile I’ll just keep typing…..
